Manassas City Public Schools is accepting applications for school psychology internships for the 2023-2024 school year. We anticipate funding for two full time, one-year positions for highly qualified applicants. Manassas City strives to provide a comprehensive internship experience that includes working with children from diverse backgrounds and all ages, from preschool to high school. Interns are afforded the opportunity to conduct psychoeducational evaluations, facilitate group and individual counseling, design and implement academic and behavioral interventions, and consult with teachers for the purpose of prevention and intervention. Description: School Psychologist Intern

Job Summary:  Manassas City Public Schools provides interns with a wide range of experiences in order to meet their program requirements, as well as to enter the field as a well-prepared and competent school psychologist. This internship is designed to meet the NASP-approved 10 domains of practice. Interns will work in a range of settings to acquire skills across all of these domains, as well as to gain experience in individual areas of interest. The intern will co-serve one elementary school with his/her supervisor, along with rotations at the secondary level. Interns will participate in a variety of professional development throughout the school year.
